Me: [multiple emails regarding possibility of exchange today]
Solicitor: $FreeholdMgmtCo will not send the Insurance until you pay the money, they will not wait until completion. They said that they need £110.000.00.
Me: WHAT? ONE HUNDRED AND TEN THOUSAND? [yep, I shouted]
Solicitor:Yes, they said that is how much you owe them
Me: That is absolutely ridiculous... I am very very unhappy about this -- and there is no way I can pay £110,000.
Solicitor: No it's only £110.00.

edit I should add that there's a 5-10 minute gap between each of the above emails.

Is the first "Many bananas" and the second "Bananas, bananas, bananas"?

Not bad!

It actually goes like this:
a banana (1)
a bunch (10)
a tree (100)
a tesco (1,000)

Tamaranth's hopeless solicitor confused "one tree" with "one tree of tescos" - so much for evolution.
