We received the new GoodGifts catalogue the other day. It's full of fab things (and if anyone feels like getting me a gift for any reason, the list below is a good starting point!)

They've added a wishlist option, too, though it works rather oddly: a PDF of selected items (from a selection that doesn't quite match the actual catalogue) and a wishlist reference -- WL1369 -- to be typed in online order form's comments box, or quoted on a phone order).

I'm off to Plymouth tomorrow, and taking the catalogue with me -- hopefully I can persuade my sister that I'd rather have something ethical than more Tat.*

Brain Cell (one can never have too many, and Parkinson's Disease in particular is a research goal close to my heart)

Two Mangrove Seedlings
Clear 10 square metres of minefield
A quarter acre of swamp
An acre of rainforest
A meadow of spring flowers
A Bluebell Wood

Women's Literacy
Fishwife's Business (for anyone who thinks I can be a little ... strident)

Classical Music

A Cat For Comfort (food and vet bills for an elderly person's pet)
Retire a Donkey
Protect a Penguin
Prize Bull Semen (sorry, couldn't resist. "It's not for me, it's for a friend.")
Herbs for Lions
Feed a Homeless Rat (Most of the rats I know have homes, not to mention LiveJournals)
Let Sleeping Sloths Lie

* Regular readers will recall the bronze fairy sculpture; the cat-picture made with real fur; the glittery fridge-magnets; the blingy watch ...

I'm not sure they'd want to live in Selhurst.
