When I lived just up the road from Wallasea, we were more interested in keeping the sea out. But apparently the European Court has told the Government that it was illegal to destroy so much marshland in the 1990s, and they're having to make up for it by letting the sea flood land that used to be wheatfields.

I can think of a lot of other areas that would be improved more by such measures.

I was trying to figure out where exactly that is so as to fly over at some point, but there is a humongous danger area round that way so it may not be possible!

it's a couple of miles east of the timber wharf and marina on the south bank of the Crouch (opposite Burnham-on-Crouch). Should be well away from the danger zone, which is Foulness Island!

Well, if I ever pass my test I'll be able to take passengers!
Or sometimes when I'm flying solo I've taken random snapshots with a camera in my right hand while I maintain my lookout.
