Happy New Year!

Thursday, January 1st, 2009 11:23 am
I don't really do New Year Resolutions, and though I have been thinking about 2008 I am not posting my reflections here.

That said, I'm hoping that in 2009 I will minimise waste (including but not limited to time, potential, emotion, money, opportunity); do more of what's good for me (such as swimming, country walks, writing, eating well); experiment (werk, relationships, creativity).

MIND chief exec on the problem with resolutions: "We chastise ourselves for our perceived shortcomings and set unrealistic goals to change our behaviour, so it's not surprising that when we fail to keep resolutions, we end up feeling worse than when we started".

My sincere wish for all of you is that you'll feel better about yourself and your life in 2009; that external factors will improve, or you will change to accommodate the bad and transmute it into something better.
Regular readers may recall the saga of $FinancialMisadviceCo, documented in many of these posts.

Email just received from action group:
"On Friday 19 December 2008, $FinancialMisadviceCo was placed into Administration by an application to court under paragraph 22, Schedule B1 of the Insolvency Act 1986"

Bwa ha ha ha ha! That'll teach them to advise people to invest in bridges in London apartments that will never be built! Oh, wait ...
