Escape from Vodafone
Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 02:02 pmWhen I moved to Sussex last summer, I had to switch mobile providers, as there was (and as far as I know still is) no Virgin signal in R's house.
After a year in which Vodafone have lost my international text messages, advised me to reset my phone daily, had service disruptions of up to six hours and generally been no help whatsoever, while charging me more than Virgin ever did, I have cancelled my contract. (They did send me a glossy new phone and a fulsome apology, but too little too late, and I don't want to spend another year with them.) They will be providing my PAC number as soon as I return thebribe glossy new phone.
So: back to Virgin? Or are there any fab deals / providers / etc I should know about?
EDIT: I'll tell you what I want: I'd like to be able to reliably text a New Zealand mobile. (NZ Telecom not Vodafone NZ) Any advice?
* what I really really want
