I, too, HATE wasps - am possibly even mildly phobic. I used to think it was 'cos I'd never been stung, and so had built up in my mind that to be stung would be something really painful & scary that I should avoid for as long as possible. However I have, at this point in time, been stung twice, so I know it's no big deal, & I still hate the buggers! We had a wasps' nest in our house a few years back. Bastards. There's a wonderful Orpington-based company called 'Annihilated Wasps' - they come & deal with the problem & you don't even have to be there! I just love the name...
