I was very irritable today (*glares at LJ CHORUS who are murmuring things like "Heaven forfend", "Surely not!" and "Well I never, strike me blue etc"*). These things did not help:

* a book promo poster which quoted a review claiming that the book was "sentient"
* my elbows, which made an otherwise relaxing swim (hot water, steam, cold rain) rather uncomfortable
* my client, for whom I took the day off but who did not inform me that my contact was off sick. I will, of course, be charging them for the three hours' travel+sitting in reception looking at Variety.
* juvenile delinquent mouse -- not the captive one, but the one that is vandalising my kitchen in protest. Probably sponsored by Amnesty.
* myself, for not being able to get out of bed on lovely sunny morning.

Luckily ladymoonray came over this evening and hit me over the head withbrought chocolate and pink drink, and cooked me dinner, and agreed that I could not possibly be related to my sister.

It's good to be understood. *mwah*

ramtops has a copy of that book (the review quote is on a cover sticker); it's spent time at the top of the bathroom bookpile causing me pain and distress.

At any rate I *hope* it's the same book - the idea of that being perpetrated twice is more than I can deal with right now.

I still think for sheer stupidity you have to go a long way to beat the poster proclaiming a book as a "pyscho thriller". You really think that somebody should have caught that one before they put it up on bus stops all over London!
