my insurance company are (finally!) offering me a Palm Tungsten T2 in lieu of a new Visor Neo, which can't be got. Any comments, advice etc?
EDITED: I should point out that I've already acquired myself a replacement Neo from eBay -- very low-tech but ideal for my needs -- so this will be a secondary device anyway!
Given their reluctance to let me replace stuff from anywhere other than this specific supplier, I'd imagine that they will stick to T2 or rough equivalent -- but from the sound of it, it's a good deal.

You can compare and contrast the current Palm line-up here (http://www-5.palmone.com/uk/en/products/family.html).

T2/T3 ...
Date: Thursday, February 5th, 2004 09:42 am (UTC)List on the T2 is GBP 279 and on the T3 is 329 (at PalmOne.com). However I bought a T3 two weeks ago for GBP 275, inc. VAT, via amazon.co.uk. In other words, if you shop around you can get a (low) price for the T3 and a (high) quote for the T2 and have a machine with 33% more screen real estate and a faster processor for the same money.

T3 looks like by far a better deal to me...
Buying from the USA would be even cheaper - jeezus fuck the terrible $ > £ exchange rate is making great buys possible (assuming you can get it smuggled over easily enough)...
