solecreator - mostly for my reference ...
Saturday, November 19th, 2011 02:19 pmEmail just sent to Solecreator, who I'd hoped would be supplying me with ethically-manufactured trainers ...
Unless they come back with a sensible offer I have a pair of rather large khaki hightops, unworn, ethical, looking for a home.
I recently ordered a pair of Ethletic trainers from you using the MoneySupermarket discount.
First of all I was disappointed to be told that I couldn't order trainers with a design -- as I replied at the time, "I interpreted "Voucher not valid for customised trainers" to mean that I couldn't *customise*, not that I couldn't pick anything with a design!"
I ended up ordering a plain pair of khaki trainers because it was that or orange in my size (usually a 4).
Now I have received my trainers and they are far too big -- I've measured them against my existing size 4 trainers and the sole is nearly an inch longer. (They also have a streak of glue, or something, where the rubber toe meets the fabric.)
Frankly, I don't want to pay another shipping fee to return them and get a replacement which I worry would also be too big -- the lowest size you have is a size 3 and the size 4s you sent are more than one size too large.
Please advise -- is my only option to donate them to charity?
