If you haven't booked yet, may I recommend Yeego? Just booked double room, 2 nights, ~£40 cheaper than Park Inn official rates.
edit to add: to clarify, that's a booking at the Park Inn -- not an alternate hotel.

We looked at the Best Western next door, and that was also cheaper. But the Con rates include breakfast, and the rate we could get for BW didn't. So we went for the PI.

this is the Park Inn, with breakfast -- it's just cheaper than going via the hotel's own site!

Ah, not at all obvious from the link. Hotels' own sites are usually in my experience more expensive than going via hotel booking sites: I normally use HotelClub (if only because I've got to the stage I get a 7% cash back now), but they didn't have anything available at the PI.

I'm not sure how the Con's negotiated rates compare to the hotel's own website, though there are occasions (*cough*eastercon*birmingham*) when cons have been ambushed.

The con rates are £42 pppn if sharing. So 2 nights for 2 people in a double/twin with breakfast would be £168 - Twingo booking only £129 for same deal, so definitely a saving. Whether it's worth hassle of cancelling booking aleady made to rebook via Twingo is debateable though.
