Heh. My Misha-cat once dashed into the house all terribly proud, with a dead birdie in her mouth. She was entirely Me! Me! See Me and My Prey!! - until I got it off her. And found it was stone cold, and had almost certainly died of other causes and just been tidied up by Herself...
It looked (and, apparently, tasted) Fresh and Wholesome, o Imputer of Felinity. Though I have certainly known cats who would claim a kill when a sparrow happened to drop dead right in front of them ...
