tamaranth1. back from Eastercon, which I enjoyed very much
2. but am very tired now
3. not too tired to email Amazon, since Kindle has developed yet another issue, i.e. no wireless.
I've had my Kindle less than a month, and over the past four days have had the following problems:
- as soon as I highlight a passage in a book, the device freezes, and can take up to 15 minutes to recover itself (it takes up to 5 mins to power down if I hold the power switch)
- the battery charge seems to be dropping very quickly -- with wireless turned off the charge went from full to about half in a couple of hours
- moving between pages is very slow
- opening, categorising, moving between books is very slow
- I had the wireless turned off all weekend as I was away from trusted wireless networks -- now it won't connect to my home network (I'm in the same room as the router, and my laptop is connecting fine)
It seems to have become almost unusable and I'm concerned that my investment in Kindle books has been wasted money. Please help!
