I suspect it's not so much a bad phone connection as PEOPLE THINKING THEY HAVE TO SHOUT ALL THE TIME WHEN THEY'RE ON THEIR MOBILE!!!!!

I hate that. Why is smashing a mobile into little bits and then making its owner eat the bits a criminal offence? What's so wrong about it?

Incidentally, Were you on Holborn about 1-ish? I thought I spotted you from the bus.

I guess I thought you'd taken sbisson up on his offer to lend you a spare iPod ... had you seen the offer (am I imagining it?), did you turn it down or have you just not had a chance to collect it yet?

you're not imagining the offer, I did see it, but thus far the logistics have eluded us (what with him being in the USA). Now have horrid situation of having to choose music [minidisks] to take to Plymouth on Saturday -- the first time this has happened for over a year.
