here is a vast and beautiful infographic labelled 'The History of Science Fiction' (They mean 'Western, Predominantly English-Language SF&F'.)

However, every time I look at it I find something else to disagree with. This Immortal as 'sword and sorcery'? Tehanu as 'hard' but Left Hand of Darkness as 'soft'? Connie Willis grouped with 'steampunk'? And why does Flowers for Algernon show up in 'Paperback Novels'?

Admittedly scrolling around a webpage isn't the best way to look at something like this, so maybe I am missing nuances. But still.

Yes - I also felt that fair chunks of it were either wrong or odd. It's still a pretty cool undertaking, and I don't expect most people to agree over what goes where.
