Have been up far too long, hence any typos -- but it is a lovely morning. Walked (at dawn) to Deptford to pick up my repaired camera from the sorting office: mist over the little River Ravensbourne, heavy frost on the grass and the dead rushes, ice on the duckpond and pink contrails in the sky. It wasn't like being in London at all, except for the traffic once I hit the main road ...
Yesterday had a relatively leisurely day with [Unknown site tag] until mid-afternoon, when we headed up town to see Return of the King. Not quite the festive occasion we had planned, as
ladymoonray was attacked by gravity a cobbled street stealth orcs and had to be taken off to Casualty by
swisstone. She's fine (and she will be dictating an LJ entry a little later) but emotional impact of film was dimmed by me worrying about her. Not helped by lack of mobile signal, as otherwise I'd have got the text telling me all was well.
Also, would like to warn everyone off Odeon Tottenham Court Road, where the sound was appalling; very crackly and distorted.
Oh dear. Will have to go and see it again.
Off to the LOTR Exhibition at the Science Musuem today; then, possibly, the London Eye; then, possibly, Once Upon a Time in Mexico at the Prince Charles cinema ([Unknown site tag] hasn't seen it. I knew there was someone who hadn't!) -- or possibly we'll drop by the Andy Serkis signing at Forbidden Planet 6pm. Expect this to be mobbed, though.
Then Beer. Then Sleeeeeep. Am looking forward to that bit!
