Thanks to enforced leisure, to a sudden inability to indulge my usual creative outlets, and to [livejournal.com profile] ms_cataclysm for a huge donation of broken / orphanned / unappealing / odd jewellery bits, I've been making stuff.

You can buy some of it over here. Will waive postage if I know you in person; items usually posted same day; lovely Christmas gifts! Also, will fund further makings, though you may not feel this should be encouraged.

I still have rather a lot of beads. And I am accepting commissions.

When you run out of bits, remind me. I'm sure I can find some broken jewelery you can have to cannibalise for the cause.

Is this supposed to be an unlocked post?

In the grand scheme of things it's minor, but if you're making and selling it, having the DHSS or whatever it's called these days breathing down your neck would be silly, even if it's basically pin money.

(I'm making all sorts of assumptions here - and I apologise in advance for any that might be incorrect.)

Selling personal items (even, presumably, if they are recycled personal items) seems to be okay -- I checked this re Amazon Marketplace sales when I first signed on. There might be a problem if I was buying stuff and selling it on, but the jewellery doesn't really make a profit and is a byproduct of my hobby!

OK. I'm glad you've checked it first. If as you say it's basically not making a profit, I can't see a problem then.

when I last got audited they asked what the money in my bank account from Amazon was; I said I'd been selling some of my old books and they didn't ask for tax on the proceeds so - while no guarantee of joined up thinking between departments - the personal stuff sold thing seems definite. if it scaled up to an actual business mileage would, I think, vary. A problem we can only hope T comes to have! (cos y'know, income)

I'd like to buy Knowledge is the Key, as a gift for a friend, please. Can I give you the cash in person? (We are due for an outing, I believe?)

Of course! I will delist from Folksy and set it aside for you.
Re outing: am desperately trying to write today. But maybe Monday?

you're a star! Packaging them now. Shall I refund postage via Paypal or bung it to charity of your choice?

Oh, give it to a charity - whichever is handiest.

Glad they got to you quickly, I had some issues with online postage purchase! And I'm very glad you like them. (would you be so kind as to leave feedback on Folksy? it can't hurt my future sales to have positive comments!)
