Oooh, that looks *marvelous*! An extra pair of hands! *covets*

it is marvellously flexible! I'll be using it for anything from keeping a bracelet straight to doing fiddly-faffy joins. Also, note magnifying glass.

Also could be used to immobilise small animals for grooming.

I did notice the magnifier! Very spiffy. (Oz doesn't think well of your proposed alternate use for it, I bet!)

I use one of these for all my jewelry work; I'd be lost without it. Also another swing-arm lamp for extra light (and often a third, if it's night and the window isn't giving me daylight). I can work peyote stitch for hours on end without eyestrain with that setup.

Who are you calling 'small'? I assumed she meant the CatTV rodents. You could grill groom a gerbil nicely with that set-up.

Oh, Your Mightiness, I didn't mean *you* were small! Perish the thought. No, what I meant was that I didn't think you'd be pleased to have your Minion attending to other creatures.

Ooh. I have vice envy. I need something like that for my embroidery.

It is lovely and very flexible! And came from Tindalls on King St (under £7, too: if it were aimed at the jewellery market it would have pink or purple rubber grips and cost three times as much).

Thanks. I wish I could take credit for it but sadly all I did was right-click save :)

Just going through life succumbing to new vices...?

(I have one of these - bought when I realised that I couldn't hold a DIN plug, and the cable to go into it, and the solder, and the soldering iron, with just two hands.)

New vice: quicker than mutation, and still gives you more hands.

Just never, ever leave it where sunlight might fall through it.
