Things that go CRASH, #2
Friday, December 5th, 2003 05:40 pm#1 was the PC (again), which made for a quiet afternoon's CHKDSK /R-ing. (It's been freezing for no apparent reason since HDD upgrade, but An Expert claims this will fix it. Or, alternately, "They all do that, madam.")
#2 was rather more of a surprise and happened as I was lazing in the bath. The shower door suddenly fell on top of me with hilarious consequences.
Luckily it is either toughened glass or plastic and didn't shatter, and somehow the only bit of me it hit was my knee. (Which hurts). Getting out of the bath was challenging, and only then did I realise that the mysterious noise of running water was coming from ... behind the side panel. A corner of the door must've punched a hole through the (plastic) bath. How it did that and missed me is another little mystery.
Applied fingernails to side of bath; applied towels to deluge; applied panic to situation. But the latter not for that long, really. Considering.
Noel is coming round soon. *beams* Am so very lucky to have good friends!
Yes, I probably will smell bad quite soon. But that is merely because I am rotten to the core.

Date: Friday, December 5th, 2003 01:07 pm (UTC)With regards to the hard drive: This expert says they don't all do that and as it's been causing you problems since an upgrade, one might suspect the upgrade. If I can be of any assistance, shout.
