BNP facing Marmite legal action
In the Marmite campaign two spoof political parties, the Love Party and the Hate Party, compete in a mock election.
The BNP claims the Hate Party was "clearly based" on itself.

This news story made me laugh out loud and scare the cat.

On the other hand, the background in the Griffin mugshot at the top of that news story does look remarkably similar to the background in the Marmite ad.

I thought this was going to be a 'what's the difference between' joke.

Is this the answer?
They both smell nasty and raise your blood pressure, but Marmite is nice on roast potatoes.

I'm sure the BNP are nice when roasted, too.

Satire is dead... You just couldn't make that up.

If I weren't too scared to give it credence, I'd use that BNP broadcast to analyse mise en scene with the students on - Churchill, union flag, medals (and what is the book on his desk?)

It also struck me that a Marmite jar superimposed on his upper lip like a brush moustache would complete his transformation.

The nu labour Doctor Who ones have their moments of signifying cliches, mind. And a lap dance at one point.
