The Steampunk version, set in Hollywood C19 (it's the same class of Differently Historic as Pirates of the Caribbean). Great fun; hyperviolent in places; some lovely shots; some very funny lines.

Plot? I didn't expect proper plot so was not really disappointed: it was a buddy movie with a conspiracy-theory framework.

Robert Downey and Jude Law make a very good team: I liked their chemistry, and the chemistry of each with their female counterparts.

I feel sure there will be another, and I shall go and see it at the cinema.

Meanwhile, have I really seen all the good bits of Avatar in the trailer for the movie, the trailer for the game, the ad for some phone, and the various clips in the foyer? Or does it just feel that way?

No, I think Avatar is really worth seeing in its entirety.

Hmm, I shall have to tell Morten that we must go see it. It should be easy, seeing as how he tend to like Guy's movies.

And happy holidays - belatedly.

Re: H/W...what are you waiting for? Shall I engrave an invitation?

Re: Avatar - go see it because everyone else will want to talk about it and because a lot of the film was done in NZ.
