When I got up this morning I wrote a to-do list for the day.

All but two items are ticked off (YAY!)

Those items?
- writing
- litter tray

I am slightly disturbed at the possibility that I'm putting writing (IAMBIC PENTAMETER!) on a par with an unpleasant-but-brief chore ...

Maybe it's not so much the writing as the iambic pentameter?

But was it good jazz or bad jazz?

There's music which is labelled 'jazz' which is actually quite good - it has a tune - and only one of them, it has lyrics which are meaningful and understandable ('scat singing' is called that because it's shit), and then you have the bad jazz, where a bunch of guys in dark glasses play random collections of notes in different time signatures simultaneously, and that does call for the off button!

YES!!!! I've always thought that. Johnny Dankworth was brilliant, but I'm not sure I can ever forgive him for inflicting his missus on the world. BBC2 in the 1970s was full of Cleo going "booboobedobadobadabadum" at me.
