Decreased world-suck

I've been in a really low and miserable mood for the last couple of days, but now I am feeling warmed and weepy by the goodness of human nature (short version: someone -- not me -- lost something they couldn't afford to lose, friends and fans have rallied round immediately and generously).

That has cheered me up out of all proportion. Yay people! and I don't often say that
