I know those fountains! We were stuck at Terminal 5 for a few hours last Fall on the way home from Fantasycon.
Yes, the new terminal is surprisingly less depressing than the older ones. Even more surprisingly, this is so even beyond the security gates; there are even some perfectly decent eateries (e.g., at least one actual pub selling a proper pub-food menu and Newky Brown) rather than the usual bad fast-food joints.
