tamaranthProbably not actually the Camp Commander, but this statue at Vindolanda appealed to us anyway. Also, genuine Roman ice cream! I did not know that the Romans introduced the cultivated cherry to Britain. And now we have authentic insult for natives: Brittunculi. There are a lot of 'em about.
