Beach trip

Here is a live starfish (I found a whole thriving colony!) There were also plenty of dead things on the beach, so I photographed some and brought the rest home (bones, wood, shells, stone).
Weybourne Beach was wonderfully empty (it was a cold grey day) and strewn with dead things and plastic. The clliffs were dynamic geology. Meadowlarks singing at the clifftop, seagulls yelling at the tideline.
The North Norfolk Coast Road is a pleasant drive, scenic, only occasionally distressing (I think I ran over a toad that was slowly meandering across the tarmac).

Date: Saturday, March 14th, 2009 05:06 pm (UTC)Now I want to go walk on a beach. Perhaps when the weather warms up a bit - I want it above the freezing mark for a ramble along the shore. (What can I say, I'm a wimp. *g*)
