Got up early to take bugshaw to werk, attempt foiled by very flat tire. BUT better today than tomorrow! AND the nice RAC man assured me that I was not being a useless female re: failure to change wheel myself.

Made it to hairdresser: my hair was cut by a nice pierced Icelandic woman who told me all about swimming outdoors in geothermal pools under the midnight sun. Was pleasantly relaxed by the time she had shorn me.

Broke till in Co-op pharmacy by buying things. BUT this meant I missed the ten-minute period where a Co-op lorry was blocking Mill Road.

Off for a swim. Sooon.

Last time I called the AA out to change a tyre, the guy could hardly get it off, even with a lever which must have been a good three feet long. The problem is the pneumatic spanners garages use to tighten up the nuts.
