Exciting Wednesday

Have just spent three hours at the local police station giving statement (with many, many supporting pieces of paper) about Estonian property farce. I have signed my name on more than twenty pieces of paper and nodded like one of those parcel-shelf dogs as poor beleaguered DC (formerly traffic officer, so clearly 100% qualified to investigate financial fraud) explained my rights and responsibilities to me.
They did not even offer me a glass of water, let alone coffee.
And the alarm went off at one point so we all stood around in the rain. (Was not dressed for this, as statement was initially due to be taken Chez Moi: police station trip necessary for photocopying and more pieces of paper which DC had forgotten.)
Still, hopefully can now forget about the whole affair until it gets to court. (And am not complaining about the police because they did everything -- apart from the refreshments -- as quickly and efficiently as possible.)
