Thank you to everyone who's sent good wishes and condolences. It means a lot. Sorry not to respond to you all individually.

Sam's fading fast (though he perked up a bit for smoked salmon). I don't think he'd last much longer. And the Sam I'm going to miss so much is already gone, and he's not coming back.

We're off to the vet now.
