Shiva continues well -- no more seizures -- and her bowels are functioning just fine, albeit at inappropriate locations. (Hey, that rug needed a thorough clean anyway.) Sam, though, is not coping with her being pushier, and wouldn't even sleep on the bed with me last night :(

Cats are exhausting. Though lying on the sofa reading now sparks WAR as they compete for Most Inconvenient Position.

She may be associating her litter tray with pain. You could try moving it, or even introducing a small new one somewhere. I hope she continues to improve.

I was wondering this. Or, and this seems to be the case with Chia, having pee'd in her tray, it is now too dirty to use and therefore she will use the newspaper next to it. On the up side, it seems that she doesn't dislike the humongous new litter tray I bought her this morning, so that's something. Also, given the cost of her special cat litter, I have now found somewhere which will sell me more of it for less money. Big relief!
