1. The best comeback ever
2. Is depression good for you? (made me grind my teeth and snarl at the laptop. What is this 'after depression'? Where can I download it? "Happiness is not something you can buy in Tesco": no shit. But this article seems to be focussed on the sort of depression that is triggered by Bad Stuff.)
3. semicolon sighted on subway
4. on closing doors
5. Storylink: 'water, flesh and stone' by Marissa K. Lingen

Date: Friday, February 29th, 2008 11:11 am (UTC)1 I loved the best comeback ever. Reminiscent of Churchill's drunk/ ugly comment.
2 The second article is the annoying type where I can see that yes, sometimes depression can prompt positive change but really that doesn't make it a good thing. Why do people persist in trying to over-simplify complex things.
3 I must admit to being impressed by a well-placed semi-colon.
4 Interesting.I've been thinking lately about the extra energy that can be released when you let go of something unnecessary (like trying to be perfect!). I'm amazed at how clear an example of the energy drained can look like the experiment presents.
5 I wasn't going to read the story - but I'm very glad I did. I have my guesses as to who Rebecca might actually be.
