sudden fatigue
Friday, February 22nd, 2008 04:09 pmdoes anyone else get this?
As in, feeling fine and relatively lively and Doing Things ... then suddenly even sitting in the chair is incredibly effortful and all you want to do is curl up for a nap. Not read, not watch TV/DVD, certainly not any web stuff. Just sleeeeeeep.
(I'm not going to have a bloody nap. No matter how inviting my cat-strewn bed looks.)
Wonder if it's physical or psychological?

Date: Friday, February 22nd, 2008 04:15 pm (UTC)Oddly enough, I'm just about to totter off to a cat-strewn bed. But I have the excuse of having flu.
It may by now be more accurately a cat-and-Pam-strewn bed. She's got it too.

I think I was all in favour of that, whatever it was . . .

Date: Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 03:06 pm (UTC)It depends.
Mind you, due to continuing exhaustion after chest infection (now celebrating 7 weeks) I'm not exactly a normal subject. Right now I either need to sleep until about 9am in the morning or have a mid-afternoon nap. The latter does make it harder to sleep the following night.
I'm quite in favour of naps. In fact, I'm increasingly in favour of doing things when your body suggests them rather than waiting until some pre-determined time to either eat or sleep. A little bit to be going on with is a good thing.
