Go me!
I really need to get this inner-ear / balance / nausea thing sorted. Antibiotics don't help and nor do over-the-counter sinus remedies. Any advice? (I think with hindsight it has been coming and going for years: I can remember driving lessons where the amount of head-turning needed whilst parking was enough to make me very queasy indeed. Which may be why I park so badly. :))

Get someone to look at your neck. I have a nerve which traps if it reach too far to the side and it can also make me feel dizzy and faint if I twist my neck too much (such as when parking).

Er, has your doctor eliminated the possibility of Ménière's disease (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meniere)?

It may not be Menieres. I have had a problem with dizziness/nausea a few years back and the doc suggested Benign Paroxysymal Positional Vertigo was more likely than Menieres. I was generally finding that I was feeling very nauseous during the night when I slept in a certain position - nauseous to the extent that I thought I had food poisoning. I tried some of the manoeuvres listed in this link (sorry don't know how to do a link inside a comment) http://www.tchain.com/otoneurology/disorders/bppv/bppv.html and it has helped enormously. I'd go back to the doc though.

Yeah. If it's brought on by turning your head it could be a neck problem.
