1. Back from Gran Canaria, which was gloriously hot and sunny. Here it seems to be cold and dark (though today was actually a very fine day for January, and I was grateful to wake to sunshine).

2. Have done one load of laundry (out of three).

3. Have dry-shampooed one cat (out of two, but Shiva doesn't need it because she doesn't smell bad). Sam is greyish but has forgiven me.

4. Have many books to write up:

5. Have much post to process, including another letter from Currys that indicates they are unable to process a complaint concerning the excessive uselessness of their customer service except by reiterating said uselessness.

6. Have slight nausea / dizziness, ongoing, probably a combination of post-holiday / post-travel anticlimax and the viral thingy that has been with me since before Christmas. GP tomorrow.

7. Have split ends due to spending much of each day in pool / sun. Hairdresser tomorrow too.

8. Have camera full of pictures. Flickr soon!

9. Have not especially missed teh interweb. Did anything happen*?

10. Have long to-do list, which I am ignoring in favour of bed / book / sweet-scented purry cat.

*happy to see Scrabulous is still going!

Hi hi hi hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! I was just wondering when we'd hear from you! So glad to hear the weather lived up to expectations.

Hug the cats for me. *g*

cat-hugging a much more appealing prospect now that Sam doesn't reek so badly!

I'm sorry you're still feeling grotty. Hopefully the doctor will be able to sort it out quickly.

I do hope they can sort it out quickly. I'm bored of the cough and not liking the nausea at all.

Welcome back!

I'm busy avoiding sports on telly (apparently we won something) and truly fascinated by the idea of shampooing cat. Morten's ancient feline is on holiday at his mother's but it will probably return once we've moved. And it smells.

Of course, it would have to be tied down first.

dry shampoo is the way to go with cats. Wear something that you don't mind getting covered with fur, white powder and cat-spit. Sam gave up fighting fairly quickly and stuck his head in my armpit to avoid choking on the stuff: he is still a bit ghostly-looking but at least he doesn't smell like a zoo!
