Beach!

First sea-swimming of the year! Marred slightly by evil blue jellyfish, though they were mostly dead: I know they're pretty but I'm slightly phobic about them, and certainly don't care to share any body of water with them. Even the dead ones sting! (I had red trails all over my legs simply from paddling). However, am feeling good about overcoming fears and having a swim.

Headache also disappeared somewhere on the beach, where there was a cool breeze all day and -- despite the large number of people who'd decided to open up their beach huts and get out their dinghies -- enough space to lay in the sun, reading, writing, stuffing face with zero-calorie (=eaten outdoors) pitta bread and smoked turkey.

Can you guess what colour my legs are this evening?

In other news, dreamt of [livejournal.com profile] residentevil666 last night. He had grown to at least twice normal size, and was reputedly of human intelligence. He bit me.

Me?

Bite you?

Never!

And I am usually of more than human intelligence. Do not degrade me in your dreams!

Err, have you seen Pip lately? He's been putting on weight again :)

Yay for you battling with jellyfish. I wouldn't have gone anywhere near the water with those in it!

It just seemed such a waste to be there and let stupid dead nasties stop me swimming at all. Though if there hadn't been jellyfish I'd have stayed much longer, and swum much more!

If last year's anything to go by, they'll only be around for a single weekend early in the summer ...fingers crossed. Of course, that was the summer ... stupid British weather
