I find this kind of writing -- write first edit later, never mind the quality look at the word count -- remarkably easy. It does tend to veer off-track very quickly if I don't have a fair idea of where I'm going. And because I never let myself have second thoughts about a scene, self-indulgent word pictures and peculiar POVs get in!
