Was feeling a bit blah by the time I left werk, so I decided to get something nice for dinner and go home and relax.
But
THERE IS FUCKING WATER COMING THROUGH THE FUCKING CEILING AGAIN.

Could be worse:
- it's the spare room
- it's not a flood yet, just multiple drips and an ominous bulge
- it has only, as far as I can see, damaged the paint on the fireplace and some WIP artworks

But:
- I now have to move everything away from the affected area.
- [livejournal.com profile] swisstone was to have been crashing in that room tonight: I shall make up the sofa bed for him
- this is the room with painted-shut windows, so little chance of de-damping.
- THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME.
- GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Edited to add: AND THE LETTING AGENCY'S EMERGENCY NUMBER IS NOT BEING ANSWERED.

Grrr! I know from my own problems with noisy neighbours (reasonably tuneful rendition of Swing Low at 3 fucking AM this morning) that repetition can be ten times worse than the actual problem because I start expecting more trouble rather than expecting a solution.

If the landlord is still being unhelpful you could try the council. In my experience they vary from total disinterest to extreme helpfulness and support, so it's worth giving it a try just to find out which is available. They might well write a letter to the landlord that would carry more clout than you complaining on your own. Or tell you at what point you have the right to call an emergency plumber and bill said landlord...
