Retail therapy

After a rotten day at werk, I went to Tesco for some retail therapy (hey, it's open late). And they had lined baskets on special offer, so I bought one for my sewing stuff. Unfortunately ...

... it's been claimed.

That's a ridiculously purry Sam-cat, who says it is Just Right, thanks.

Actually, I bought a set of three. This, the largest, was intended for recycled packaging etc. But the second-largest is big enough; the small one will hold sewing machine and thread; and Shiva is unaccountably fascinated by the plastic box in which I used to keep my packing materials. Weirdo kitty.

You could always try storing the sewing stuff in a cat bed...

I'm working on it, honest! Well, sort of...

That is utterly darling. I miss cats (husband is horribly allergic to everything with fur).

Sphinx cats - the hairless ones. You know it makes sense.

Awwwwww :-)

And !!! What a brilliant idea! I need something to store my sewing things in - the sewing basket I've had since I was small is, well, too small for all the things I have now. One of those lined baskets would be ideal, and Morrisons have them going cheap... Thank you!

Baskets are the best. Personally, I go for the tall ones - to keep out Bastie, the Black Cat of Terror.

I'll bet that Sam would be willing to help out with any yarn that needs sorted too, yeah?

Cats -- you gotta love them...because it's illegal to drown them.

Sam is much more attractive than recycled packaging - and doesn't he know it!

Zil, as you know, prefers to sleep on the highest point of any available human. Fruitcake made her bed in the fruit bowl until it was conclusively proved - even to her - that she had outgrown it. (See 'Why my fruit bowl is cracked')

I've also coveted those baskets in Tesco, but I know what my cats to to anything wicker...

they're down to £8 in my local one, and they're soft enough that the cats don't seem inspired to use 'em as scratching posts (see 'why it's not worth painting the linen basket again')

I find Panda and Minnie will colonise any new piece of furniture or box for three days. After that, it's boring and they won't go near it. Try waiting till your kitty gets bored and then you can get your basket back.
