Request for Upgrade

Dear body-clock,
I am forced to conclude that you are running under some variety of Windows. Please may I be upgraded to an OS which gives me some hope of sleeping through the night -- possibly for as many as seven hours?

Have used extra hours today in reading Tales from Earthsea, then rereading A Wizard of Earthsea. I can't think of any other book which I have enjoyed on every rereading, over a period of nearly 30 years. That, and copious amounts of painkillers, seems to have finally decreased the ache to the point where I can get up. Though I don't think the ache was what woke me ...

Me too! I didn't mind so much yesterday, when I was full of bounce and actually got stuff done: but this morning wasn't much fun, and I spent the first hour feeling too exhausted to move, but too ... well, awake ... to get back to sleep.

MK was...concrete. But as Simon said, we made it cool for a few hours. H's house is lovely. We christened it Milton Camden for the evening.

Fiona & I had the nightmare journey from hell coming back, but we made it eventually.

I think my body clock is also running under Windows right now. Only mine hasn't even got a USB hub with which to interface with pillow.

Also, thanks for reminding me of those books--I don't think I ever read the whole series, and anyway it was years ago (and in translation). Now I know what to look for at the bookstore! *hugs again* :)
