OH FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE

there is water coming through my bedroom ceiling.
Have just run upstairs (well, walked v. carefully as half the stairs are missing) and informed builders, who are clueless (they have left a hose-thingy turned on, even a civilian like me can see the spreading pool of water on bare floorboards) but v. apologetic.

GRRRRRRR.

They will need to be insured, so if there's any damage to the plaster or decor then either tell them to fix it, or claim.
