Cats: It's dinner time you haven't fed us you are IGNORING us you don't love us any more can we use your mobile to call RSPCA?
Fox: *saunters round corner of house*
Fox: *sniffs around patio furniture*
Me: *deadstill*
Cats: WTF? What is THAT? It is worse than THE HISSY THING OF TONBRIDGE.
Fox: *wanders unhurriedly up steps to upper garden*
Cats: AAARGH HELP EMERGENCY WILD ANIMAL LOOSE IN GARDEN
Fox: *notices me*
Fox: 'sokay, she doesn't scare me
Fox: *saunters across garden, stopping frequently to gaze curiously at Human*
Fox: *disappears into hedge*
Cats: OMG WTF dinner time, did we mention?

I'm so glad you've met your neighbourhood fox. If it's the one I saw on Friday, it's not big enough to be a threat to the cats (even the little one). Though it may be difficult to convince them of that :)

That's a bit rubbish! Even Cassie has a go at animals (normally cats) in the garden - albeit from behind the safety of the glass door. Still, that's all she can do, being an indoor cat. She'll do the whole staring and making noise thing 'til they go away and then look absurdly pleased with herself.

Of course, she hasn't quite twigged that they tend to go away when I, attracted by all the fuss she is making, come over to the door...

It's sad/funny when Lex comes over to see what all the fuss is about...
