Thought for Today: Therapy and Fiction

Therapy and (self) analysis are like writing fiction. It's not good enough to explain the roots of a problem, or the dimensions of situation: it's not over 'til there's resolution too.

In other news, we have had more than 100mm of rainfall in about 48 hours, and the road out of the valley is flooded. Hurrah for Real Weather!NZtrip

It absolutely pissed down rain while I was there too. I think they're trying to hide their crappy weather from the rest of us.

er, it"s an island with mountains; it takes the weather that comes along and has rain areas and rainshadow areas. on South island, if it's raining on one coast, you can drive to the other for sun. easy.

if you're staying with a native, though, you just get to watch the rain and hope the road isn't flooded by the time you need to leave!

the two days of our 3 week trip it pissed down we spent doing wineries - indoors and many have a nice open fire - and driving with a stop in the japanese hot pools at maruia springs where the rain was pleasantly cooling ;-)
