1. Walnuts even better than olive oil, in terms of Good Fats
2. Google buys YouTube (mostly interesting for the following statement:
"YouTube, in contrast [to MySpace], is content-driven. Users tailor the site to their needs, searching and finding the content they want regardless of interest or age." Er, yes, I thought that's what I'd been doing on various blog-sites too ...
3. slide show at Tate Modern heralds World Mental Health Day. I want a go!

Certainly content driven - is that why I come across so many account suspended and content removed pages? Or am I trying to look at the Wrong Kind of Content?

I don't recollect us changing the title along the long way to publication, maybe we did, but the latest Vector seems to be calling it A Critical Companion throughout - apart from in the advert. Oops. Never would have happened in my ... ah, yes, well, it almost certainly did. Frequently.

I daren't open it. I know I'm going to see a tyop as soon as I do.

and the BSFA ad in the back makes no mention of the BSFA website, either. But presumably there is a good reason for this.

As for YouTube -- yes, you almost certainly are looking for the Wrong Kind of Content. (Bittorrent?)

Dunno whether we did the ad (I know I didn't) or whether it was supplied. I know I've had fun in the past persuading organisations that I can promote them, you know, for free, if they give me the copy. Some people. Etc.

But it's out. Huzzah. (does little dance)

I reckon they should rename it YouPrude.

When I'm not mishearing it as Pip Torrens - one of those fine actors who's been in everything and yet you can't quite put a face to him - I always think of Bit Torrent as a porn star. Oh dearie me.

It is a very fab thing and your little dance is utterly justified!

Having seen some of the stuff on GooTube, I'm not sure 'YouPrude' really works ...

For some reason Niall has been calling it A Critical Companion ever since he first heard of the book, and no subtle reminders of the correct title seem to have been able to shift him from this.

Because I've been hearing variant titles from other people, some of whom are even in the book, and not been able to keep straight which is actually correct. Apologies to all concerned.

Whatever it's called, it's good so far (I'm about a third of the way through).

Hmm... time to start making [livejournal.com profile] autopope these burgers (http://www.cooks-recipes.com/17/16460/Carrot_Rice_Nut_Burger.html) with walnuts instead of cashews then. With walnuts, olive oil and sunflower seeds, it should be Very Good For Him Indeed.

Yay, I love walnuts and walnut oil! My favorite salad is butterhead lettuce dressed with walnut oil (no vinegar) and sprinkled with toasted walnuts and sea salt.
