Buying Time

Internet time at a premium at present -- Tonbridge is being excavated because we have no home internet, and werk is pretty busy with a deadline on Friday, so I shan't be on LJ or email much.

If you are still using the avnet email address, by the way, please don't: it became so choked with spam that I couldn't get into it. Tamaranth at livejournal dot com will reach me.

Am considering spending money on highly-recommended herbal supplement (4-3-2-1 -- sorry, no link to hand) to counteract fatigue and lethargy. (Last night, for instance, I got home from werk: dozed on bed for an hour: ate splendid dinner prepared by [livejournal.com profile] ladymoonray; went to bed and slept for nine hours. And am still shattered.) I realise that many herbal remedies don't remedy anything, and that they are often over-priced: but what I would happily pay money for is 'more hours in the day', and this might help. Thoughts?

Not that I shall read your thoughts, of course ...

I suppose you buy more hours in the day, by paying cleaners or getting someone to do the laundry, having the groceries delivered...

I'm not even spending time on those basics -- just werk, commute, sleep. The latter of which is the only negotiable one at the moment!
(But yes, these are definitely effective methods of getting more time.

In the past I've used Natrasleep, half an hour before bedtime, and found I got a better night's sleep and woke up more refreshed. The first time I tried it (about 10 years ago probably) I woke up not tired for the first time in a year. Hmmm, maybe I should try it again, I keep waking up tired. Though this may be more to do with getting up at abhorrent o'clock (alarm set for 5:30am for tomorrow...).

I think it's mainly hops and yeast, possibly valerian as well. Tastes pretty vile, but seems to work.
