1. Who broke gmail?

2. I have found out how to make three cats from two. (No, not that way: they have both been neutered.) Does anyone have a kitten-knitting pattern, and a method for making wool from cat-fur? There is rather a lot, mostly all over the garden but also all over me. Certainly enough to make a good-sized cat.

I pulled about 7 cats' worth from the dryer this evening. I plan to register the new Persian / dryer lint cross at the next Westminster cat show.

It is *astonishing* how much comes off them, isn't it?
Max is no where near as good at being groomed as Spooks was. Spooks would sit for hours and let me groom him.
Max tells me loud and long that it is torture and that I am Bad and Wicked Mother when I comb him.

My two are extreme shufflebutts when it comes to grooming...
Starless only has one layer of fur and sheds relatively little, except when I comb his thighs, which he doesn't appreciate.
Teasle seems to have about three distinct layers of coat and I get mahoosive amounts of spare cat off him. He likes being groomed but wants all of him doing at once. I could certainly have knitted (knat?) a whole tribe of kittens fom his combings and have often pondered the techniques needed to utilise cat wool

This (http://geobabe.livejournal.com/227621.html) is a splendid kitten pattern - very easy, just three pieces. With it I have made these two:
