Yesterday morning, at (urgh) 8am, I had a to-do list that ran onto two columns of an A4 pad. Trees! Walks! Cats! Printer cartridges! Writing thousands and thousands of words! Boldly exploring the freezer!

There are three items left -- wrapping presents, writing yet another stroppy letter to Barclays, and dealing with the litter tray -- and none of them are urgent. (And I'm halfway through writing the last of the cards, including some difficult breaking-the-news ones to friends of my father: but that'll be done tonight.)

One of the items I ticked off was 'install new keyboard'. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ladymoonray! It has a peculiar action, and I think requires heavier-handed typing than my usual: but I'm breaking it in, or possibly vice versa. Please excuse any typos, though. (The mouse that goes with it is, sadly, horrid: but the old mouse stll works.)

Another item was 'dye hair', because I caught myself thinking I was getting too old for that sort of thing. Luckily I did not have to do this alone: o no, I had two little furry helpers.

I hope the keyboard does work out; but if not, we can always take it back.

er, sadly not: I have tidied up too efficiently and no longer have receipt!

I'll get used to it, and I think the key action is improving with use -- and it was so cheap -- and I really did need one pretty desperately. Thanks for sorting / sourcing it!

No problem. I won't be at all offended if you end up replacing it, but at least you got one quickly.
