A good day
Saturday, December 17th, 2005 08:06 pmUp horribly early to take delivery of Tree: a nice walk back from the sorting office, along footpaths that were still frozen solid, in the sunshine, with the Downs looming to the south.
Christmas shopping in Brighton, which was not nearly as crowded as London. I went and sat on the beach for half an hour with a cup of coffee, too: sadly, pier-to-pier's splendid free wifi wasn't working, or I'd have posted direct from there and gloated a bit.
Was starting to have a sense of humour failure by the time I'd finished shopping -- but I did finish, and was home in time to lounge around in the sunshine a little more.
Have decorated tree, listening to Bach and wondering if it's normal for the lights to dim (for ~30 mins) and then brighten every hour or so. (I don't think it has anything to do with the tree lights. Luckily, the cats are afraid of the tree. So far.
Now to make some space in the freezer. Saturday night freezer. Hahahahahaha.
