Does anyone have a working USB 1.0 flash drive -- pref. 512K or more, compatible with Windows 2000, sturdier than the usual promotional ones -- to exchange for this very fine USB 2.0 flash drive, 512M, that isn't, despite the label, backwards-compatible?

Also, can anyone provide potted summary of differences between USB 1.0, 1.1, 2.0? I shall be needing it if I end up trying to return this one.

Re the differences between USB versions, take a look at:

Confusion Over USB Naming Conventions: 1.0, 2.0, Full Speed, Hi-Speed? (http://www.macobserver.com/article/2003/06/23.5.shtml)

...which might clear away at least some of the murkiness.
