1. Back from Plymouth. Some high points (sailing, swimming) but mostly lows.

2. Update on Amazon Shorts: any author who has a book listed on amazon can submit a short.

3. Does anyone have a copy of the Word 97 installation CD? Can't find mine (Office 97 box contains manuals only) and will slay Word 2002 if it continues to mess me around.

4. Busybusy day: will not be catching up on LJ for a while yet.

I think I have an Office 97 CD at home. Will check this evening, and can bring a copy to Walkers if I do.

Yes, I have a CD for Office 97 Small Business Edition, which includes Word 97. Will bring a copy along on Thursday, if you'll be there.

It's taken several restarts for the PC to notice that Word 02 isn't there any more, but I finally seem to be running Word 97 OK -- and it's ever so much faster to start, to open files, to save large files. Also, hasn't crashed yet (touch wood!) and doesn't erase everything from the clipboard when it's opened.
