We had half an hour to spare before K and T's train, so took a quick look at Cawfields milecastle. I'm now at the Roman Army museum, being impressed by the Eagle's Eye film - aerial photography and reconstruction of Wall and forts. I'd love to know what software they used!

A native being oppressed. This is a replica of the gravestone of Flavinus, standard-bearer, 25 when he died: we saw the original in Hexham Abbey the other day. Am at Corbridge, where the museum has cuddly lions to point out key items.
