We're on the train! The South Tynedale Railway from Alston to Kirkhaugh, 2.25 miles. Train is probably dragon-powered, judging by the steam and the hissing.

Druids' Circle - according to signage - better known as Long Meg and her Daughters. Which are, of course, innumerable. Have abandoned the rest of the expedition to Alston's amazing second-hand bookshop, which K and I ransacked earlier.
